Privacy policy

This policy describes the current WhereWeMet design studio. Questions or privacy requests can be sent to info@wherewemet.store.

Your saved prints

Your draft, wording, selected location and settings are saved in your browser using local storage. Cart items, including their frozen map drawings, use IndexedDB on your device. They are not synchronized to an account or submitted as an order. The current studio has no payment collection.

You can remove individual cart items on the cart page. Clearing this site's browser data removes the saved draft and cart. Private browsing, storage limits or switching devices may prevent recovery.

Search and maps

Place searches are sent to the public Photon service operated by komoot, including the search text and a map-center location hint. Map requests are sent to OpenFreeMap and identify the geographic tiles needed for your view. Those services receive connection information such as your IP address. Avoid entering private wording in the place-search field.

Title and bottom-line wording are used locally to draw your print; the studio does not send those fields to the place-search or map-tile services. Learn more about Photon and OpenFreeMap's privacy practices.

Site delivery and support

The site is hosted by Vercel. Hosting and network providers process request information to deliver the site and operate their services. The current studio does not include advertising trackers or customer analytics that record your wording or precise map location.

If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you choose to send. We use it to respond to your request. Please contact us to ask about access, correction or deletion of information you have sent to us; applicable legal obligations may affect what can be removed.

Changes

We will update this page when the service changes, including before introducing accounts, payment or order fulfillment data collection. Third-party services operate under their own policies. See our Terms of use for the current cart and map licenses.
